Our training and development team offers a variety of professional development opportunities to our employees. The success of each individual employee leads to the success of our project teams and the entire company, which has made us one of the leading construction firms in our market.

By establishing a full-time Training and Development Department at Cohn Construction Services, we have established a commitment to ensure the company provides guidance, counsel, and direction to all employees for their career development initiatives.

In order to best serve our Employees career development, we offer several programs:

  1. Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with all CCS employees.
  2. Deploy a wide variety of training methods to include:
    • a. Classroom Training
    • b. On-line training
    • c. Off-site training experiences
  3. Provide new and unique opportunities for future development
  4. Tailor our training programs around real time, market trends and issues
  5. Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
Cohn Construction Services has launched a three year, multi phased training process for Project Managers to include; Contract Development, Cost Estimating, Identification of Project Risks, Managing Procurement, Advanced Project Scheduling, Project Communications, and Project Closeout.

Similarly, Field Superintendent training includes a two year training program that includes; Soils and Foundations, Earthmoving and Excavating, Concrete Fundamentals, Structural Steel, Commercial Structural Building Systems, Roofing and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Practices.
